I am a full-time working mother of two, who volunteers and travels with my family in my spare time.
I am a strategic communications consultant.
They are a fun and supportive group.
I have been an independent consultant for the past three years, working with large and small companies on their marketing and sustainability strategies. For more than a decade, I have helped networking and security companies identify and take advantage of intersections between trends and new market opportunities. I am called on to develop strategic communications, from white papers to videos, that translate complex technologies into easily understood solutions for key enterprise and service provider problems, trends and implementations. During my tenure at Juniper Networks, NetScreen and OneSecure, I worked on developing new product categories, such as IPS and DI, and educating customers on the evolving threat landscape.
I have a strong background in brand, positioning, messaging, sales enablement, channel, social and Web marketing for both B2B and B2C companies. I also bring expertise in sustainability – I unified the implementation of sustainable business practices within Juniper's operations and developed the company's strategy and was a founding member of the company's Green Taskforce. For the past three years, I have worked with organizations benchmarking, facilitating focus groups, conducting gap analysis and making recommendations on sustainability programs and objectives. I am the author of "The Sustainable Network," and blog, both published by O'Reilly.
